Paws R Us Fathers Day Makeover

I'm an avid animal lover, if I had my way, I'd live on a massive plot and have about a million rescue dogs and cats living their best lives with me. But reality, current home and budget say a big fat no....!!!

So I have decided that once a month, I will do a pro bono shoot for a welfare event to hopefully give some PR material to the organisation for them to use and get in much needed funds, awareness and maybe even get some fur babies rehomed.

Paws R Us is huge... roughly 200 dogs are currently homed here, all desperate for their own special home and their own human to lavish all that bottled up love they show as you approach them in their pens.

These are the running costs each month!!!

The monthly running costs truly shocked me, close to R100k... it blows my mind how they cope. And this is just one shelter!! Donations clearly desperately needed here...

There is not an unhappy dog here, they're so well looked after, which is a blessing.... wet, shiny noses everywhere, wagging tails and lots of barking!!

The families that came to support did an amazing job of painting kennels and fencing and walking animals and I think even the odd rehoming took place...
